Situated in the heart of the tourist hub of Muri Beach, The Mooring Fish Café is easy to find (opposite the Muri Night Market!) and absolutely recognisable once you get there. The shop itself is simple with no frills but lots of atmosphere! The food truck is painted in the vibrant blue and green of the ocean and decorated in unique local style. The Mooring Fish Cafe is the perfect combination of quaint, quirky and delicious.

Any given day at The Mooring Fish Café brings a new tale to the story, and our many new and returning visitors enjoy observing a true Cook Island experience while dining at with us. From watching local fishermen bring in and fillet their catch to serve up from the food truck, watching the world go by from our roadside tables, bumping in to locals and eating the finest local food on the island – The Mooring Fish Café offers the real deal and always served with a smile.
Local fishermen catch our fresh fish daily, delivering right to the cafe. You might even spot them docked at Avana harbour, just down the road.
If you see them on their boats nearby, go check it out. They’re friendly and love to answer questions about fishing, sustainability and the island.
